The U.S. Global Change Research Program (USGCRP) has announced that the Fifth National Climate Assessment (NCA5) development process is officially underway. All members of the public are encouraged to review and comment on the first Federal Register Notice and the NCA5 Draft Prospectus, which was released on 10 July and will be available for comment until 10 August. 

Dr. Chris Avery, Chief of Staff for NCA5 at USGCRP, will give a seminar Friday, 31 July, from 1200-1300 EDT. His talk will review the origins of the assessment, progress on NCA5 to date, and opportunities for public engagement.  You’ll also have an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

You can download a pdf of the entire report 免费ssr飞机场.  Published each June for the prior year, The State Climatologist is AASC’s annual compendium describing  the programs and activities of all state climate offices throughout the United States who have achieved designation as an AASC-Regcognized State Climate Office (ARSCO).  These are state climate offices that have demonstrated the highest standards for applied climate service, as outlined by the AASC. Reports from state climate offices aspiring to achieve ARSCO designation are also included, as well as a report from our federal partners at NCEI.

The American Association of State Climatologists advances the development and delivery of science-based climate services at the state and local levels. AASC works to support a society in which climate-sensitive decisions are guided by science-based information derived from historical and current observed climate and scenarios of future climate.
